Food technology is an academic discipline that focuses on the scientific principles and practical applications involved in the processing, preservation, packaging, and distribution of food products.
Common topics covered in food technology courses include food chemistry, food microbiology, food engineering, food safety and quality assurance, sensory evaluation, and food product development.
The Minimum entry requirements into National Diploma (ND) in Food Technology are Five (5) Credits passes in WASC/NECO/ GCE O’level/SSCE/NABTEB Examination at not more than two (2) sittings.
